   The welcome mat is always out at Family House for the families of patients receiving medical treatment in Peoria.
   Family House is located at 1509 N. Knoxville, just blocks away from Saint Francis Medical Center and Methodist Medical Center.  Proctor Hospital is a short 10-minute drive away.  Free parking is available at Family House, as is transportation to and from the nearby medical centers.
   Family House has 14 private bedrooms, six bathrooms, four kitchens, two living rooms, a playroom and laundry facilities.  In addition an efficiency apartment with separate entrance is available.
    Families of patients admitted to one of the area hospitals or nursing homes, as well as patients receiving outpatient treatment, are welcome to stay at Family House.
   The cost for your stay is $25.00 a night per room.  The apartment rents for $50.00 per night.
    An Executive Director, plus trained staff and volunteers, are available to help you and to provide support services.  Family House is staffed 24 hours a day and is protected by a security system.  So, even though you are away from home, you can feel safe at Family House.
