Our Mission
The mission of Family House of Peoria is to provide affordable, home-like accommodations and compassionate services for families of patients or individuals receiving health care services in the Peoria area.
We are proud to say that we have been providing these services for over 35 years.

A home away from home
Our House - Family House includes 20 guest rooms, each with adjoining private bathrooms, televisions, and telephones. Each room has an individual thermostat for comfort control. Our house is fully accessible and includes an elevator.
Community Spaces - Family House creates opportunity for connection with a parlor, multipurpose room, and lounge areas (inside and outside). These community rooms are a great place to relax, meet other guests, and share experiences.
Kitchen and Dining Area - Our two kitchens and large dining room provide guests the opportunity to prepare meals and snacks to their own liking and on their own schedule.
Other Services
Laundry - Dedicated laundry facilities are provided for our guests.
Internet Access - Wi-Fi is available throughout the house including guest rooms.
Parking & Transportation - Free parking is available on-site. Transportation to and from our medical centers is provided.
Day Services - Shower, laundry, and kitchen facilities are available for use by families staying at the hospital.
Security
Family House of Peoria is staffed 24-hours a day. Guests are provided key card access to our house and residence rooms. So, even though you are away from home, you can feel safe at Family House.
Cost
As a non-profit organization, and through the generosity of our donors, we strive to keep our costs low. Guest rooms are $39.00 per night.

Family House Receives Award from OSF
Family House was honored as the recipient of the 2017 OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois Community Advocacy Awards Group Award. We are grateful to all who partner with us to provide caring hospitality services and a home away from home for children and their families during a difficult time.
An Oasis for Families in Healthcare Crisis
Healthcare hospitality houses are havens for family members who have loved ones in the hospital far from home. They aim to prevent stress pile-up by providing home-like accommodations and amenities for families facing health crises. The benefits to individuals who stay at such houses include reduces stress, an increased sense of normalcy, and support from staff and other guests facing similar situations.
Family House Recognized by Peoria Mayor
Mayor Jim Ardis presented a proclamation to recognize Family House and National Hospitality House Week at the July 25, 2017 Peoria City Council Meeting. Thank you to the Mayor and Peoria City Council members for recognizing Family House and our mission to provide affordable, home-like accommodations for families of patients or individuals receiving health care services in the Peoria area.

Location
Family House of Peoria is located just blocks away from OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Carle Health Methodist. Shuttle service is provided.
Carle Health Proctor is a short 10-minute drive away. Guest parking is available on-site at Family House.
Directions
From OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Carle Health Methodist Hospital - Drive northeast on Glen Oak Avenue (away from downtown Peoria) for approx. 1 mile. Turn right on Nebraska Avenue. Family House of Peoria is located on the left side at the end of the street.
From Carle Health Proctor - Drive south on Knoxville Avenue (towards downtown Peoria) for 1.4 miles. Turn left on War Memorial Drive (US150) and continue for 1 mile. Turn left on Nebraska Avenue. Family House is located on the left side at the end of the street.
